The downside? Not too many people seem to be enjoying all has to offer. While the site boasts thousands of members, less than 35 were online at any given time during this reviewer's visit and profile searches returned less-than-overwhelming lists of prospective over-40 cuddle buddies.

Logging on and setting up my profile was easy. The site has a soothing layout, with lots of beauty shots of older models acting like they're in love. After setting up my profile and instantly learning it was active (unlike some other sites I've visited), I couldn't resist ' Color Profiling quiz and learned I'm a yellow; apparently I'm all about the fun! Who knew? With this in mind, I launched a search for a man to have fun with. He could be any age, within 25 miles of my home city (in a major metropolitan area). My only real qualification was that he have at least a Bachelor's degree and not be involved in a relationship. I was surprised that I received less than 30 matches for such a broad search. When I limited the age range from 37-55 and got slightly more specific, I only got 19 matches! I'm not sure why because there is no specific demographic info on , no "About Us" page and a total of 5 FAQ's.

But here, unfortunately, is where you might run into a small problem. While boasts thousands of members in each of 8 age/sex categories, a mid-afternoon, Saturday visit revealed less than 40 of those members were online. And a rather wide-ranging search for a partner who is basically male, single and alive in a major metropolitan area (no, I won't say where) presented this reviewer with a less-than-overwhelming range of potential dates. When I requested a man under 55 with a college degree, offered me only 19 aging hotties and one of them calls himself "Charles of Hollywood." Okay, so now you know which major metropolitan area I'm taking about.
's paid membership base is small
If you happen to like Charles or find another silver fox in the small pack (or is it herd? Or gaggle?), a free member can make contact by sending a smile or ecard. Any communication beyond that point will require a paid membership, which ushers you into the exclusive world of Mingle Mail, an exciting combination of mailing and...mingling. Paid membership will also allow you to use the chat room. So if you sign up, please pay, because there were only 4 people in the chat room during the entire span of my visit! Paid members can also initiate instant messaging (free members can IM, but they can't START the IM-ing) and post messages on the surprisingly popular message boards, which have many entries that all seem to be posted by the same 10 people.
Test first
My somewhat lonely experience at led me to search for more information about the site: Some demographic information, hard membership numbers, even some idea of how long the company has been operational. All I could find on was a very paltry list of five FAQ's. Leslie responded to my email within 24 hours and told me has been operational for about 2 years. Still, my overwhelming sense is that if you are of a certain age and interested in online senior dating, you should definitely try before you buy. You don't want that Lifetime Membership to expire before you do.
