I've used AdultFriendFinder but decided to try this. Hot Matchup just isn't worth the money.
The "match" mode apparently looks for either an exact match on your city name, or you can set it to find matches nationwide. There's no way to find people in Boston if your home city is Brookline, even though they're about 5 miles apart.
The "search" mode likewise doesn't support zip code or regional matching, except by state. If you live in Texas, California, Alaska or other big states, this won't work for you.
Advanced search is broken. If you specify relationship=single, or relationship=married, you get no matches. Really? There are no single women on Massachusetts? No married ones either?
Customer support is quick to respond (I have a Platinum account), but their answers indicate that they didn't read your question. When I complained about Advanced Search, the answer was: "There are no available matches based on your criteria...we suggest you use Advanced Search".
Last, but not least, it seemed that on AdultFriendFinder, user profiles were far more complete. The majority of search hits on Hot Matchup not only don't have photos, but most don't even have height or even hair color.
